Nursing Shawl Abaya - Dusk

To keep your abaya soft and prevent it from feeling rough after washing, follow these care instructions:

1. Wash with Cold Water

• Use cold or lukewarm water (below 30°C) to prevent shrinkage and preserve the softness of the materials

2. Use a Mild Detergent

Choose a gentle, liquid detergent (avoid powder detergents, as they can leave residue and make fabric feel stiff).

Avoid harsh chemicals like bleach or strong fabric softeners, as they can damage the fibers.

3. Wash on a Gentle Cycle

• Use the delicate or hand-wash setting on your machine.

4. Avoid Overloading the Machine

• Washing with too many items can cause excessive friction, leading to roughness.

5. Air Dry (Avoid Heat)

Do not tumble dry—heat can make the materials stiff.

Instead, hang the abaya on a rack to dry.

6. Steam or Iron on Low Heat

• If the fabric feels stiff after drying, lightly steam it or use an iron on a low setting with a cloth barrier.
