1. Wash with Cold Water
• Use cold or lukewarm water (below 30°C) to maintain the smooth, silky texture.
• Hot water can dull the fabric’s sheen and make it feel rough over time.

2. Use a Mild Liquid Detergent
• Choose a gentle, liquid detergent formulated for delicate or synthetic fabrics.
• Avoid powder detergents, bleach, and harsh fabric softeners—they can leave residue or strip the fabric’s smooth finish.

3. Wash on a Gentle Cycle
• Select the delicate or hand-wash cycle.
• For extra care, place the abaya in a mesh laundry bag to prevent snags or friction.

4. Avoid Overloading the Machine
• Washing with too many items can cause excessive rubbing, which can lead to static, dullness, or a coarse feel.
• Wash with similarly soft, lightweight fabrics only.

5. Air Dry Flat or Hang
• Do not tumble dry—heat can damage the silky surface and cause stiffness.
• Hang on a padded hanger or lay flat to dry in a shaded area to prevent stretching or fading.
